LexAi ("the App", "we", "our") is a mobile vocabulary-learning application built on .NET MAUI for Android (iOS planned). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
By using LexAi, you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree, please discontinue use of the App.
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the service:
Email address and authentication token provided via Auth0 during sign-up or login.
Words, translations, groups, and learning progress you create in the App.
Images you submit for OCR text recognition. Processed via Google ML Kit and not stored.
Audio for word import via voice. Transcribed by OpenAI Whisper API and not retained.
Anonymous event data (sessions, feature usage) to improve the App experience.
OS version and device model for crash diagnostics and compatibility.
Your data is used exclusively for:
• Providing core app functionality (vocabulary, training sessions, AI enrichment)
• Synchronising your progress across devices
• Generating AI-enriched word details (examples, grammar forms) via OpenAI GPT-4o-mini
• Generating thematic word images via fal.ai
• Enabling AI conversation practice in the target language
• Authenticating your account securely via Auth0
• Diagnosing crashes and improving stability
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
LexAi integrates several third-party services to deliver its functionality. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
Your vocabulary data and account information are retained for as long as you maintain an active account. Voice recordings and photos used for import are processed in real time and not stored on our servers.
Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
You have the right to:
• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — update inaccurate information
• Deletion — request removal of your account and data
• Portability — export your vocabulary in a machine-readable format
• Objection — opt out of non-essential analytics

LexAi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided data without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
